Meet The AUP Team Members that Manage Raftr

Amanda Carroll

Location: Boise, ID
Title: Associate Director of US Admissions
Territory: West Coast, USC-Fall FYA
With The AUP since August 2021

Amanda was hired as our regional for the Northeast of the US & Canada, but took over the West Coast US & Canada in August 2023.

She now serves as an Associate Director of US Admissions at The AUP and Director of our Counselor Advisory Board. Previously, Amanda worked as an Admissions Counselor at Allegheny College, a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania that is a member of the Colleges That Change Lives.

Before that, she worked in marine biology at a sea turtle, dolphin, and whale hospital. Amanda attended Allegheny College for a B.S. in Environmental Science. She studied abroad in both Australia and Sri Lanka as part of her university experience.

Shaqueline Oberdoerster

Location: Harrisburg, PA
Title: Director of US Admissions
Territory: Pennsylvania, Colorado
With AUP since August 2019

Shaqueline has been in education for nearly 15 years, and in admissions for close to 10. While she began her studies at NYU double majoring in journalism and political science, she eventually graduated from the University of Michigan in elementary education and went on to receive a graduate degree in Urban Teaching in 2015. She spent a formative semester studying abroad through NYU in Prague in 2006 and has been passionate about advocating for the life-altering benefits of international education ever since, and has found her niche at the special place that is AUP.

She provides oversight for the US Admissions team on day-to-day operations in addition to developing a higher-level strategy to meet enrollment goals for the university.
