Raftr Support: May 19 Update

Android:

  • Enabled opening URL’s in bio’s on people’s profiles
  • List posts can now include Raftr users, which means there will be shortcuts to DM those people and view their profiles
  • Explore can now have location-based sections, which people can manage to see for the location most relevant for them
  • All post types (Events, Lists, Polls, regular Posts, and Reposts) can now have Titles and Descriptions
  • Some fixes like hiding empty sections on Explore and videos in chat playing on some devices they temporarily couldn’t

iOS:

  • Enabled opening URL’s in bio’s on people’s profiles
  • List posts can now include Raftr users, which means there will be shortcuts to DM those people and view their profiles
  • Explore can now have location-based sections, which people can manage to see for the location most relevant for them
  • All post types (Events, Lists, Polls, regular Posts, and Reposts) can now have Titles and Descriptions
  • Media for poll responses can now be opened into a full view
  • Moved messaging invites into their own section on the Message feed
  • Updated media to be able to be downloaded from its full view when opened anywhere in the app
  • Some fixes like hiding empty sections on Explore and people invited to rafts not needing to request to join in order to accept the invitation

Web:

  • Enabled opening URL’s in bio’s on people’s profiles
  • List posts can now include Raftr users, which means there will be shortcuts to DM those people and view their profiles
  • Added a map view when adding Places to List posts
  • Introduced a view option for Event and Post feeds to toggle between Compact and Full views for the content (pro tip: compact is particularly helpful on mobile devices, to see more on the screen at once)
  • Explore can now have location-based sections, which people can manage to see for the location most relevant for them
  • All post types (Events, Lists, Polls, regular Posts, and Reposts) can now have Titles and Descriptions
  • Updated videos to be able to be downloaded from anywhere in the app
  • Videos now auto-play throughout the app
  • Added options in onboarding and edit-profile screen for people to add their location, which will help the app default some views to content in the most relevant location
  • ProUsers can now set posts of all types to be available offline for all members (note: offline access is coming soon to the mobile apps only)
  • Added a new invite feature on your own profile – to make it quick to invite friends to Raftr
  • Some fixes like improving re-ordering for list post objects in long lists or mobile devices and making it easier to exit out of the full view for media
