In 2020, the world changed in ways no one in higher education anticipated. On-campus events, including class attendance, came to a halt. University staff, including faculty and advisors, displayed true grit as they worked tirelessly to serve students.
It’s 2021, and higher education is still feeling the impact of a global health crisis. Most staff and students would agree—we’re all figuring out how to live in a new normal.
Last year many annual events were canceled, including the array of conferences higher education professionals look forward to attending. Not this year! The conference calendar is complete, and many organizations have opted for a virtual format.

NACAC National Conference
September 23-25, 2021
If you work in college counseling or admissions, the annual NACAC conference offers two options. Attendees will either travel to Seattle or attend virtually.
This year’s highlight of the NACAC conference is the brand-new online conference platform that runs on an AI-powered networking engine. It’s capable of customizing contact lists of both in-person and virtual attendees, allowing opportunities to connect and network.
Organizers are putting the finishing touches on conference details, but so far, we know the virtual line-up includes live streams of all main events and a choice of more than 50 sessions.
In 2019, Jabari Sellars gave the closing keynote presentation on the concept of fit and the difference between access and inclusion. We’re looking forward to more dynamic speakers in 2021.
