San Francisco, CA, July 27, 2022 – Raftr, a leading community-building and insights platform that reimagines communities so every member can connect and thrive, announced its partnership with the Rider University Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP/AFT/AFL-CIO) today, (Note: full affiliation name, effective August 1, 2022), to deliver a private, branded, digital community for their faculty union members to connect.
“We are very excited to start leveraging Raftr to drive the engagement and mobilization levels of our faculty union. It gives us our own safe, dedicated space – separate from those we are negotiating with – to internally organize in the short-term and unite our membership over the long-term,” notes Prof. Emre Yetgin, an At-Large Executive and member of Rider AAUP’s bargaining team.
Through the partnership, the New Jersey-based labor union, Rider University AAUP, will implement Raftr’s Unite solution to increase communications reach and message targeting capabilities, bring members in-house and gain valuable understanding of membership engagement through insights. This will help Rider University AAUP increase event attendance and drive mobilization efforts of their faculty union.
“Raftr supports communities and community builders to keep their members informed, build connections and alignment, and to achieve the goals of their members in a private, safe space. Rider AAUP’s community falls right in our wheelhouse, and we are excited to partner with them during such a crucial time for their organization,” said Sue Decker, CEO and founder of Raftr. “We believe our platform will greatly support their labor and advocacy efforts, both in the short- and long-run.”
