Raftr Support: June 18 Update

All Platforms:

Android:

  • Updated comments (and their replies) on Posts to support media
  • Updated UI for Rafts:
    • Updated app and Raft headers on Raft pages
    • Removed Members section from Home page, and added to Info page and a new Members page
    • Removed Messages and Channels sections from Home page
    • Updated UI for Settings menu and Info page
  • Merged settings and membership for Everyone Channels and their Rafts
    • Rafts now have a “Chat” tab to open the default/ Everyone Channel
    • Premium Rafts with additional Channels also have a Channels tab
    • Membership and admin are now the same for default/ Everyone Channels and their Rafts (you cannot be admin on one and not the other, and you cannot join or leave the Everyone Channel without concurrently joining or leaving the Raft)
    • Everything from the default/ Everyone Channel’s info page is now part of the Raft info page and/or the Raft settings menu
    • The app-level Channels feed will remain available until we introduce the Home page, but will continue to have all (default and non-default) Channels until then
  • Some improvements and fixes like
    • Rafts are now pre-populated when creating Posts anywhere in the app; when not on a Raft page, this will be the Raft you most recently created a Post on
    • Supporting validating any phone number on profile
    • Supporting adding more than two phone numbers to profile

iOS:

  • Some improvements and fixes like
    • Supporting validating any phone number on profile
    • Supporting adding more than two phone numbers to profile

Web:

  • Updated navigation
    • Profile has moved to far right (from far left) of header
    • New left sidebar across full site
      • This has a list of all member Rafts and non-default Channels, which is sorted according to recency of content on each (default/Everyone Channel messages are included on the Rafts, rather than on a separate line item)
      • This has a collapsible section at bottom for Admin tools
        • Additional Announcements pages are available in header instead of right sidebar
    • Right sidebar is expanded via contextual options
      • Info button on Profile
      • Info or Settings on Channels and Rafts
    • Filters in Search and on Events and Posts feed are in headers (instead of left sidebar)
    • Updated UI for Rafts carousels on app-level Events and Posts feeds to be aligned with UI for Rafts on Campus page
  • Some improvements and fixes like
    • Enabling sharing specific Campus pagesCan copy URL from URL barShare page button is available in the edit menu (pencil icon) for each page
    • Updating text formatter to support choosing any color for text
    • Removing broken icons from notifications digest emails
